Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ Will Reportedly Challenge His Batman Movies With Its Epic Budget
Christopher Nolan ’s new movie is going to be epic by default, as it is almost impossible to consider a movie version of Homer’s The Odyssey as anything else. However, a recent report has seemingly revealed the equally epic cost of Nolan’s new venture, and it is going to be one of the most expensive movies that he has ever made, surpassing Oppenheimer, Tenet, and even his Batman trilogy.
Nolan has made several costly movies in his years as a director since spending just $6,000 to make his first feature movie, Following, in 1998. He was not given the keys to the bank immediately though. In 2000, his twisting thriller Memento cost $9million, The Prestige came with a $40 million price tag in 2006, and war drama Dunkirk cost $100 million just over a decade later. Of course, it was taking on a new chapter in the on-screen Batman franchise that saw Nolan’s budgets soar to over $200 million.
