On a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, when asked if she’d ever been mistaken for another celebrity, The Last Showgirl star Pamela Anderson recalled an incident on an airplane in which a man had to be restrained because he was threatening the actress – though it was clear he had mistaken Anderson for a controversial country musician. On the podcast, Anderson said:

This one time, I was on a flight and this guy came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country’s done for you?…’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my God. What have I done?’ This stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack me. Yeah. And, [it ended] up, he thought I was a Dixie Chick… Remember that whole Dixie Chick thing? I almost got killed on a plane.”
